Do you know that Taiwan was once a colony of Japan? During the Japanese's colonization, Japan made a lot of infrustructure and construction on the whole island, making this island once the most developed area in the Greater China area. Although the colonization is a history, many buildings from that era remains. These colonial colored wooden houses stand out from the cement buildings surrounds them, infusing this city a different vibe to other major cities around the Greater China area. Many of the remained houses have been repurposed and refurbished into new use, I plan to take you to those remained houses, telling you the story about the city's anecdote history and the houses' evolution.
The places I will show you includes:
Touwa Seiji (Touwa Temple)
Quitong Street Japanese Houses
